At bauma CONEXPO India 2018, we will be showcasing our entire product portfolio, bucket crushers, screening buckets and drum cutters, says Piero Guizzetti, CEO, MB India.

What can we expect from you at bauma CONEXPO India 2018 expo this edition?
We will be showcasing our entire product portfolio, bucket crushers, screening buckets and drum cutters at bauma CONEXPO India 2018. Furthermore, we will also be doing a live demo at the expo and we are very excited to demonstrate our machines in operation. We will be crushing the hardest of materials, in various sizes and will be showing the ease of use of our machines even when output side dimensions need to be adjusted.

Are any new products or innovations going to be unveiled?
Yes, we will be officially presenting our drum cutter product range. We will have on display our R-800 model, which is suitable for 10-22 tonnes class excavators. Complemented by our other models, we are compatible with up to 35 tonnes and as low as 6 tonnes class excavators. We also have a single drum cutter which is very useful for urban applications and can be fitted on mini excavators from 3 to 11 tonnes, on skid steer loaders and backhoe loaders from 3 to 8 tonnes.

What will encourage your customers to most prefer your solution while buying?
Any utility that may be drawn from an excavator, we can satisfy. Hence, we are a one-stop shop for all requirements related to enhancing the capabilities and operations of our clients with their existing machine or equipment park. MB brags 90 per cent market share globally and the same holds true in India, where it is even higher. We have been able to achieve this, thanks to our unwavering focus on a select pocket of products within the construction equipment industry. We don’t want to be good at everything; we want to be the best at a few things. This philosophy has helped us to garner and maintain undisputed leadership in our segments. In India, our population is already working across all corners of the country; we are hence able to showcase our products in operation to all prospective customers. Furthermore, in 2018 we have expanded our direct sales and service reach, which is always complementary and an enhancement to our already strong dealership and service network present across the country.

How favourable are present market conditions for an optimistic year ahead for this business segment?
Of course a lot will be contingent on the upcoming elections in 2019. Irrespective of the political outcome, albeit there may be a bit of a halt immediately prior and for 2-3 months post elections, we are very bullish on the long term story of the road construction segment in India. We are never too concerned with a specific years’ performance, it is the overall medium-long term story that makes India very exciting.
