Priorities in procurement have undergone a definite change over the years. The cost of ownership of any project is higher and the focus is shifted to complete the project in a shorter duration. This also entitles the project owner to the bonus cost, which nowadays is already factored in the project cost.
“Reliable machines play a major role in timely project completion,” according to Ramesh Palagiri – Managing Director & CEO, Wirtgen India.
The Wirtgen Group has been consistently trying to develop products which offer better efficiency in terms of fuel consumption and this helps in sustainable development and less carbon emissions.
“Our machines contribute towards reduction of use of aggregates and also in the reuse of existing Bitumen with our cold milling and cold recycling technologies,” he said.
“The average age of any of the Wirtgen Group products in the market is around two years, which means most of our products are from the new generation and in most cases, the Wirtgen Group products are at least a generation ahead of competition,” Palagiri said.
The company’s cold milling machines, soil stabilisers and cold recyclers, surface miners, the new Dash 3 series of Vogele Pavers, the EVO series of Kleemann crushing and screening plants are all new generation products which are technically ahead of competition.
