Mahindra Truck and Bus Division (MTBD), a part of Mahindra Group announced its service support initiative for the Indian trucking industry with the implementation of its Delhi- Mumbai Service corridor. With the launching of this initiative, Mahindra plans to deliver reliable and quality service to all its customers every 60 km along the Delhi-Mumbai National Highway. In addition, the company has also guaranteed that it willprovide service support within two hours on the Delhi – Mumbai Service Corridor.

The company claims that the on the service corridor will carry out emergency repairs, part replacement and health check-up of vehicles with service guarantees, to assure customers of Mahindra’s service availability along the entire route. MTBD also plans to launch a campaign in order to build awareness amongst the customers about all the facilities available at the service points along the service corridor.

Speaking on the occasion, Nalin Mehta, Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Truck and Bus Division and Managing Director, Mahindra Truck and Bus Limited, said “The Delhi-Mumbai stretch accounts for nearly 30 per cent of trucking traffic in the country. Considering the importance of this route, MTBD decided to launch the service corridor to enable customers get prompt access to quality service and spare parts. We can now guarantee that we will reach a customer’s truck, in case of breakdown, within just 2 hours on the corridor, else we will pay a penalty of Rs. 500 for every extra hour of delay.”

MTBD has introduced 7 MPARTS Plazas, centers that will house 150 important spare parts round the clock at strategic locations across the country. The group aims to strengthen 26 such plazas by the end of FY18.

MTBD claims that with the launch of application specific trucks, it has taken performance to the next level. “From transit mixers and bulkers to car carriers and refrigerated containers, Mahindra Truck and Bus provides an entire line of integrated trucking solutions that helps customers profit by giving them the advantage of quick turnaround time and reliability along with the assurance of Mahindra excellence in every aspect,” concludes Mehta.
