The construction machinery market in India is booming. Industry outlook for CE sector is very promising and growing due to many infrastructure projects initiated by the government. Roads and irrigation sector are driving the demand for CE sector. The budgets allocation of
$ 91 billion for infrastructure projects and $ 1 billion for airports infrastructure – are some of the key investment decisions announced by the government. Road construction capacity from 27-28 kms per day in 2017 is been now planned to reach 48 km per day. India is the country with second largest roads network and growing at a rapid rate.

These are positive signs that are also reflected in the number of companies signing up for the upcoming bauma CONEXPO INDIA. The event will take place from December 11 to 14, 2018. Due to the positive feedback from visitors and exhibitors, the trade fair will be held for the second time at the HUDA Ground in Gurgaon or Delhi.

The event organisers are optimistic about the upcoming construction machinery trade fair. “Demand is high and we are pleased with the high level of interest. We already have 30 per cent more space registered than for the previous event,” says Bhupinder Singh, CEO of bC Expo India. Companies such as ACE, Case, Caterpillar, JCB, Kobelco, L&T, LiuGong, PERI, Putzmeister, Sany, Schwing Stetter, Volvo, Wirtgen and Zoomlion have not only registered to take part again but have also increased the floor space for their stands.

Highlights of bauma CONEXPO INDIA In addition to the technology on display, the trade fair offers various supporting programs to enable learning and networking opportunities for all participants. Live machinery will be in action at the Demo Area and around 40,000 trade professionals are expected to attend the event over four days. For the first time ever, the Buyer-Seller forum will be taking place during bauma CONEXPO INDIA which will allow exhibitors and visitors to schedule meetings in advance and meet their buyers at the dedicated buyer-seller lounge at the venue. Industry conferences and seminars focusing on the latest developments and infrastructure and construction sector will also be taking place alongside the trade fair.

The excellent reputation of bauma CONEXPO INDIA is not only attracting well-known companies from India but also exhibitors from across the globe. Various countries, including China, Germany, Spain and North America, will be represented with joint stands, more country pavilions too are planned. The advantages of this centralised organisation are that joint stands enable small and medium-sized companies to find cooperation partners, and provide help in gaining a foothold in this large market.

For the third time, bauma CONEXPO INDIA has won an award from the Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA) and The Economic Times. The construction machinery trade fair impressed the panel of judges in the ‘India’s Top B2B Exhibition’ category.

Sustained growth forecast for India’s construction machinery market
Following an off-highway research analysis (April 2018), India’s construction and mining industries in particular are expected to experience sustained growth through to 2022. iCEMA, the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association, also predicts a 10 per cent growth rate for India’s gross domestic product by 2024. A major reason behind these promising trends are ambitious reforms passed by the Indian government that support infrastructure and construction projects.
