Ammann India has recently inaugurated its expanded state-of-the-art facility at Ditasan near Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The expanded facility was inaugurated by Nitin Patel, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat on 14th April in the presence of eminent scholar, Professor Veeraraghavan from IIT Madras during the company’s grand Techno Days 2018 event held on the 14th and 15th of April.

Mansukh L Mandaviya, Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways inaugurated the Ammann Academy for Skill Development on 15th April in the presence of eminent scholar, Dr. B.B. Pandey from IIT Kharagpur.

Hans Christian Schneider, CEO, Ammann Group; Board Members of Ammann Rolf Jenny, Asit Patel, Anand Patel and Lieven Van Broekhoven, Directors of Ammann India were present at the event.

Asit Patel said, “The new and improved facility of Ammann India manifests our commitment and support towards two of Government of India’s signature initiatives – ‘Make in India’ and ‘Skill India’.”

Customers, consultants, dignitaries from government bodies, academicians, banks and financial institutions, industry associations, vendors, members from the media and employees from Ammann India attended the event that included a tour of the new facility and a close look at the latest Ammann and Apollo products that will be manufactured at the new facility.
The transformation of the Apollo facility in Mehsana, near Ahmedabad, began in 2014 and will be completed this April.

The first phase was initiated with the partnership of Ammann and Apollo and completed in 2016, included construction of two halls for the manufacture of asphalt-mixing plants for the Indian market.

The second phase, which is nearing completion, has been even more extensive. Old production halls were removed and replaced with new buildings. Additional structures were built to house administrative staff and accommodate product training center for the customers.

The Ditasan location now will house manufacturing facilities, administrative offices, a training centre, a compactor-testing centre and a painting and sandblasting shop. The 120,000 sq.m. facility will employ 800 personnel.
