bauma CONEXPO INDIA (bC India) has always lead the pack of exhibitions in India serving decision makers across the construction industry. And, this edition was no different. Held from December 11 to 14, at HUDA Ground, Gurgaon, the flagship industry exposition provided a platform to showcase comprehensive range of products and services, latest state-of-the-art technology and a wide range of superior-quality services for all industry sectors.

The expo witnessed participation from 700 companies including CASE, JCB, CATERPILLAR, LiuGong, MB Crusher India, Volvo Penta, Larsen and Toubro, Kobelco, HAULOTTE, Schwing Stetter, SANY, Wirtgen, Volvo, among others. Visitors discovered technological dexterity and saw machines in live action at the event from 26 countries which presented their machines, products and innovative technologies for construction industry. As many as 39,173 leading industry professionals gathered at the event.

Growing all the way
Overall, the trade fair saw growth of 20 percent as compared to 2016. Rtn. Er. A. Puhazhendi, National President, Builders Association of India, said, “For our member companies throughout India, bC India is a must-attend event
to stay informed about latest industry trends and new technologies.”

The show featured other renowned companies such as Case, Caterpillar, JCB, Kobelco, L&T, Liugong, Volvo, Wirtgen, Simpson & Co. Ltd, and many more. First-time exhibitors included Indian manufacturers Tata Hitachi, Escorts and the German company Kaeser Kompressoren.

For the first time, the trade expo featured a Buyer Seller Forum, giving visitors the additional chance to network with potential business partners and brought together technology providers and buyers in 3,023 meetings.

Innovations at display
Schwing Stetter India unveiled 12 new products at the expo. The company also launched Super Six transit mixers and Schwing IoT Ready, IoT In and IoT Abled this year. AJAX Fiori put across products out of which three were new launches. The company has optimised self-loading concrete mixers, Additionally, the company now has batching plants and concrete pumps as well. Formwork players like Technocraft announced the launch of MACH ONE Formwork System that enables construction of monolithic reinforced concrete columns, slabs, beams, stairways and walls. KYB Conmat exhibited full range of batching plant right from 20 cu.m mobile batching plant to 40 cu.m tower plant. Volvo Penta displayed its BS IV technology at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2018. Putzmeister bolstered its range of mortar solutions for customers with the addition of the new MP 20 EV and the SP 11 TMR. PERI India launched PERI ALPHADECK – a large area slab formwork system.

Other participants included Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT), R.M.D. Formwork, Enovation Controls, PERI India, Quest Informatics Private Limited, Paschal Formwork, among other industry players.
